Sealed Appearance: Prior to its release, Minato’s Zanpakutou appears to be the original styled metal katana. This Zanpakutou, originally belonging to a deceased Former 1st division captain (( his grandfather )) who he idolized, is made of shining white steel with a tear-drop shaped hilt, as well as a ring looping through it. This Zanpakutou was primarily made for the idea of keeping his skill strong in the Soul Society, but now is used elsewhere with Minato’s discretion. It has a yellow and gold handle pattern, matching Minato’s clothing style.



Shikai State Description:
Shikai Ability: Kyokatsui raimei " dance of the moon " - Touching the ring on the hilt of his Zanpakutou, a sudden silence is made by what sounds like a silent evening t. This noise, having deep sound waves and an almost calming tone, has the ability to paralyze Minato’s opponent for a useful amount of time. Depending on the inner strength of the opponent (I.e. Aizen), the noise is almost useful for strong people, though it does temporarily at least confuse.and a total silence at this time is the only time he needed to kill you.

shuzuke " bloody moon dance " - By violently swinging his sword, he leaves a trail by the way it moves, and from them rain down hundreds of soundwave onto his opponent from the shape made by the swinging of his blade. This barrage can continue for some time, however Minato utilizes this as a last resort technique due to its power and relentlessness, which is a style he prefers to avoid at all costs due to his pacifistic nature.

Shinkyou "Divine Mirror"
This technique looks a lot like Bakudou no Hachijuuichi: Danku, or at least that's how it'd be described if it were able to be seen. The employ of this technique creates a large, transparent, rectangular wall of energy in line of wherever the top of Kyoukatsui's hilt is pointing, intercepting and deflecting any reiatsu-based technique that comes in contact with it. Shinkyou also has the ability to be manipulated at Minato's will; twisting, turning, and bending to just about any perspective imaginable. The amount of reiatsu Minato can deflect with this technique is limited, but is in sync with his level of power. In terms of Kidou, he is currently unlimited to warding off reiatsu forces equivalent to level ninety-nine spells.

Kyouzou " Mirror Image "
Like the name may imply, the second Shikai technique is a spitting image of its wielder, Minato. The utilization of this technique allows Minato to draw in reishi from the surrounding environment to create a tangible clone of himself. The clone, when created, takes on the state of which he is in. Using Kyouzou while having multiple wounds would result in the clone coming out with the exact marks and blemishes. With reishi being the source, this technique doesn't take a toll on the boy's reiatsu directly. The clones created can sustain major damage before vanishing, taking as much punishment as Minato himself before dispersing into the reishi it was conjured from. That being said, Kyouzou may seem like a technique that is perfect, if used right, in every way, however, like everything with great capability, it has its shortcomings. The first, and most obvious, is the fact that it cannot ascend to the next level of power, meaning: created in Shikai, stay in Shikai. It can only revert its Zanpakutou back to its sealed state, making it appear as if Minato himself had resealed Kyoukatsui. The second drawback lies within the amount of times it may be used - a factor that varies depending on the amount of reishi in the air. If in the world of the living, Kyouzou can be used once, in Soul Society, twice, and in Hueco Mundo, three times. Though it doesn't use up a great quantity of the dimension's total amount of reishi, being the Zanpakutou of a Shinigami, Kyoukatsui has its own limitations on how much reishi it may draw in in one setting.

Bankai State Description:In the dome, the participants are virtually in a new world: a large, gray dimension with camouflage green floors. A light, smoky fog occupies the air, adding a little feel to the all-around gray element that the dimension has. The Bankai's boundaries are said to stretch to infinity in all directions, even though it appears to have a definite atmosphere limiting its size when first formed. Not only is the dimension enlarged, but thin, rectangular slabs of diamond spring up from the floors to create a natural "house of mirrors." The quantity of the mirrors can be controlled, allowing Minato to get rid of or cause more to spring up for defense. Large shards of diamond can also be summoned forth, giving the boy attack capabilities from a distance. Being a fukutaichou, the diamond isn't very tough, and can be destroyed by a very high -level physical attacks by opponents on a royal guard level, and is even easier to diminish for those outclassing him in terms of power.

Bankai: The effect inside of this new dimension reflects all external senses of Minato's opponents, also their image is never reflected in any of the mirrors, making it so they cannot watch their own reflection to gauge where he may be. Trying to use vision, sound, smell, taste, touch, or spiritual pressure to track the boy would be futile, as everything within the dome is constantly reverberated, leaving the opponent fighting ghosts and echoes.

Being invisible,Minato can perform many actions without the opponent aware of the fact - their only clue being the mirrors, which only show his reflection at all times. His actions are always on display, but the mirrors do not show distance nor the actual direction he's facing. If Minato were to actually turn his back, the opponent wouldn't be aware, for all the mirrors reveal is a frontal view of the boy. It's as if he were standing directly in front of each mirror, facing it the whole time. It'd take not sensing reiatsu, nor being indulgent, but pure skill in order to attempt to escape Minato's attacks and survive in this state.
