Story:Born with to a poor family, his parent were killed off by hollows at young age, inspiring him to grow strong to protect others.He tend to play music to keep him from being lonely,wondering what he could do to protect others, as he came to have the same ideology as his parents.after this he ran his family's business in making guitars.While not making enough money,he had little food and was lonely.He started to wonder about his parents and while cleaning the business he found an old captains robe belonging to the 3rd Division.Not knowing his families past,he later discovered that his father Makai was the previous captain of the 3rd division until he was exiled for treason,which was plotted against him.He didnt know what to do in his life,until he the next day.He watched one day as shinigami were just finishing defeating a hollow which gave him the dream to become a Shinigami.Training for exams in the Academy,even with training, he tended to fail exams and slack off,disrespect authority, and show up late. It has been said by instructors that he is very gifted, but tends to keep his talents deep down inside,despite how much he wanted to succeed in battle,having never really show his true skill in battle
On a routine patrol,he almost lost his life to a hollow,making him realized that he needed to be better,and with newfound courage, became the top shinigami of his class and went on to join the gotei 13 in the 10th division.He would become friends with the Captain ,viewing him as a rival almost, willing to train to become stronger as he owes a great deal to him for helping him succeed.
To this day he resides in the 8th as its captain,doing his job to the fullest...
Fighting style: Being adept at combat, having great swordmanship and hand to hand combat, he tends to keep his distance in battle,utilizing his zanpakutos ability to inflict damage,only coming in close for the kill when his opponent is weakened.He can also combat up close,keeping a very diverse fighting strategy,enabling him to fight different kinds of opponents
